Even heavy-hitters such as trance duo Infected Mushroom have expressed interest in working with the reigning Queen of Rhymes, Nicki Minaj, but she has finally decided to invest her talents in Dutch DJ Enur with the genre-bending track, “I’m That Chick.”
The video for the track provides a light and fun element to the music’s low dubstep bass line, warped synths and quick lyrics. Though it is only Nicki Minaj‘s rap vocals that make an appearance in the video, her young queen in training Sophie Grace (you may remember her talented performance on Ellen) serves as an appropriate fill-in, even sporting a few rhymes herself. The same goes for Goonrock with his own protege known only as “Mini King.” The whole video sports an eccentric and outlandish cast with such characters as Horsey, a guy named Billy Jr., and Mr. Bear while Enur serves as the limo driver toting this crazy crew around while they jam to the single’s intoxicating melodies.
